Configure Firebase

Create a Firebase Project

1. Go to the Firebase Console

Open your web browser and navigate to the Firebase Console.

2. Click on the ‘Add project’ button:

Once you’re in the Firebase Console, click on the ‘Add project’ button to start creating a new project.

3. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new project:

Firebase will guide you through the steps to set up your new project. Enter the required information, such as your project name, and accept the terms and conditions.

Add Your iOS App to the Firebase Project

1. In the Firebase Console, click on ‘+ Add App’ and choose the iOS icon:

After your project is created, you’ll need to add your iOS app to the Firebase project. Click on the ‘+ Add App’ button and select the iOS platform.

2. Register your app with the bundle identifier:

You’ll be prompted to register your iOS app. Enter the bundle identifier of your app, which can typically be found in your Xcode project under the General settings.

3. Download the GoogleService-Info.plist file:

Firebase will generate a GoogleService-Info.plist file for your project. Download this file, as it contains essential configuration information needed for Firebase integration.

Integrate Firebase with Your App

1. Drag and drop the GoogleService-Info.plist file into the root of your Xcode project:

Open your Xcode project and drag the downloaded GoogleService-Info.plist file into the root directory of your project. Make sure to add it to all target groups when prompted by Xcode.
